What the Hell Is… Dead Weight?

[Ad Disclaimer] This is a sponsored post, but I play everything before I agree to anything and publishers don’t control what I say. Basically, if I like the game I’ll make a video about it. Enjoy.

Final Fantasy Tactics and Into the Breach had a baby. Lovecraft adopted it. Steampunk pirates raised it. Say hello to Dead Weight.

I’ve put about 8 hours into this one — and it just launched with a release discount, so let’s talk about what you’re actually buying.

The tactics battles are FFT’s scrappier little cousin: same DNA, way smaller maps, so every single move actually matters. Big-brain chess energy without the 40-minute battles.

Between fights, you’re flying an airship island to island, plundering resources off enemies in every direction — but you’re always one bad route away from running out of fuel and stamina.

It IS procedurally generated — not usually my thing, and yeah, you lose your gear every run. But you keep every ability you unlock across all four heroes, so it never feels like starting from zero.

It’s already top 400 most-wishlisted on Steam with 130k+ wishlists, and the community’s already arguing over which hero is broken. Go face the Ancient Gods yourself.
