Wishlist This: OKU

[Ad Disclaimer] This is a sponsored post, but I play everything before I agree to anything and publishers don’t control what I say. Basically, if I like the game I’ll make a video about it. Enjoy.

That writing assignment you slept through in school is now a magic system. Oku is centered around writing haiku to explore the world.

You’re a wandering monk gliding across gorgeous Japanese art inspired landscapes.

pulling words straight out of the world around you, rivers, ruins, cherry blossoms, then snapping them into 5-7-5 poems that unlock forgotten paths and bring dead places back to life.

There are no timers or boss fights, just you, the wind, and zen garden vibes. Stumble upon poems other players left behind, tip them a token if they hit, and then leave one of your own for the next wanderer.

Want something crunchier? There are hidden platforming courses if your thumbs get restless.

It’s part walking sim, part poetry class you’ll actually enjoy. And honestly, the biggest glow up a school assignment has ever gotten.

This is Oku. Playtest signups are open now. Go wishlist it.

They paid for this post.

But good games alone get ink.

This one earned its light.
